Keep it fun, keep it yours
Our credits are worth nothing, yet your time is worth plenty, and gambling-style games can grip some people. Here’s what we’ve built in and what tends to help.
Built into the site
- Listening clock. The footer on every page shows how long you’ve been here in this tab.
- Hourly reminder. After each full hour a message suggests a break.
- Age check. A question on arrival, plus a date of birth if you open an account.
- Pause on request. Ask us to pause or limit your account.
- One-step deletion. Remove your account any time from My account.
Helpful habits
- Pick a time limit before you start and stick to it.
- Step away every hour: stretch, hydrate, rest your eyes.
- Stop if you feel frustrated, anxious or driven to carry on.
- Don’t play to escape stress, loneliness or a low mood, and keep sleep, work and people first.
- Remember credits aren’t money, and earlier rounds don’t predict later ones.
Signs of trouble
- Playing for longer than you meant to, or thinking about it constantly.
- Feeling restless or short-tempered when you cut back.
- Keeping your play hidden from people close to you.
- Neglecting responsibilities, or feeling down after sessions.
Free, independent support
These organisations are separate from Izobeat and offer confidential help at no cost:
- BeGambleAware: advice and support.
- Gambling Therapy: free online help worldwide.
- National Council on Problem Gambling (US): helpline and chat on their site.
- GamCare (UK): helpline 0808 8020 133.
If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
